Founded in 2018, Jaffa Gallery is an independent contemporary art space bridging local Israeli talent with international dialogue.
Our Story
Located on Yefet Street — one of Jaffa's oldest thoroughfares — the gallery occupies a renovated stone building that once served as a merchant's warehouse. Today it hosts six to eight exhibitions annually, alongside artist talks, screenings, and an open studio programme.
We believe contemporary art thrives when it engages with place. Every exhibition at Jaffa Gallery is conceived in dialogue with the neighbourhood's layered history, its port, its markets, and its diverse communities.
What drives our programme
We champion emerging artists alongside mid-career practitioners, offering first major solo shows and critical visibility.
Cross-cultural exchange is central to our curatorial approach — connecting Israeli artists with peers from the Mediterranean and beyond.
Admission is free. We offer guided tours in English and Hebrew, school programmes, and monthly open evenings for the public.
